Final Major Project: Link between hair and good and evil

This week I research the relationship and symbolism between Hair and good and evil. God along with prophets traditionally have beards however so do Devils, Demons and witches. Being hairy stands as a symbol of maleficent powers and places emphasis on their bestiality. In various religions and cultures Gods and heroes are considered to have the best features of the human race, therefore depicting them with long luxurious hair.
The counterpart to god often is depicted with having a long beard but traditionally is red to symbolise its evil nature. The Devils body commonly hairy accompanied by horns and hooves, which is why i choose to begin my research at the natural history museum looking directly at goats and horns. Similar qualities are given to some gods in greek mythology for example the goat like god pan.
There is a clear association established between evil spirits and beast-like characteristics. I want to incorporate hair into my final piece as i feel it will give my headpiece an aggressive, evil quality which i think will convey a sense of power and strength.
