Paper hats

This week i begun making miniature hats out of paper and card. I found this a useful way of experimenting. On most of my paper hats i put large bows on the hats as i thought it would make the hat appear like a normal church hat. I think this was effective because it made me think of the making process and how i would create the hat realistically.  
However although the paper hats were quite useful i feel it would have been more helpful if i could have made it the same size as a normal hat to see if i could have made my church hats out of paper. If I had made my final major project piece from paper it would have been much lot lighter and I could have created one of these designs but I think making this out of paper is something that i would have tried during the other 6 units therefore i want to use other more interesting less obvious materials.
